Since one year ago, the company has been committed to fight child poor nutrition. A specialized centre was built, where every child whose weight is below OMS standards (children at third stage of malnutrition) is given a daily meal with high nutrition value (peanut paste, oil, milk, sugar, corn flour). Once a week the children are weighted and undergo a medical examination, besides being administered daily treatments by the centre’s staff.
Likouala Timber care for their employees’ health via the public hospital, whom they supply with the necessary medicines and part of the medical staff.
