Likouala Timber’s experience in the production of semi-finished products for export led to a further step forward, launching it into the production of window-doors (French windows) and various furnishings.

All products are made of dried solid wood, processed according to international standards. With these offerings, Likouala Timber primarily targets the rapidly expanding domestic market, aiming to help its clients appreciate this noble material, worked with the best technologies.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WOOD

Frake wood features a heartwood ranging from light yellow to golden brown, with sapwood that is not distinctly separated. Its texture is coarse, while the grain is irregular or interlocked, which can give rise to a striped effect.

Main uses

Frake is highly valued for its ease of working, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It is used in the production of furniture, interior panels, fixtures (doors and windows), and decorative structures. It is also used for veneers and cladding, thanks to its elegant appearance and lightness.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WOOD

Heavy wood with a reddish brown hear-twood that stands out, which tends to become darker over time. The perfume is characteristic in its natural state. It has a fine texture with a grain that's often cros sed and wavy.

Main uses

The desthetic properties associated with the colour and stripe effect achieved on radial surfaces favour the use of this wood in visible parts of furniture, also as a replacement for the Mahogany wood from Central America. It is often used in joinery, to make luxury flooring and doors and windows, parts of musical instru ments, furniture and covers for luxury boats.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WOOD

Heavy wood with a light yellowish sapwood that's clearly different to the brownish yellow heartwood, which acquires a golden brown colour after being cut. It has a medium or coarse texture with a grain that's often crossed.

Main uses

Due to its good mechanical properties and natural durability it lends itself well to building uses, even outdoors, for naval works, outdoor covers for boats, carpen-try, joinery, doors and windows, flooring platforms and outdoor furniture, harbour docks, frames and profiles.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WOOD

Semi-heavy wood with undifferentiated yellowish white sapwood and heartwood in its natural state, then light brownish pink, It has a texture that varies from fine to medium and a usually straight grain that's sometimes slightly wavy to lend a maire effect. Its appearance and origin is similar to Longhi, with which it is often confused.

Main uses

Its easy working combined with the good results that can be achieved with the fini-shing processes and the uniformity of the properties cause this wood to be favoured in making parts for furniture and frames. It is also used to make toys and turned objects.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WOOD

Semi-heavy wood with pink or whitish sapwood, certainly different to the light red heartwood in its natural state that changes to crimson or dark red with ageing. A high-quality wood due to its appearance, grain that is often crossed or wavy, which leads to the creation of surfaces that have clear moireing or striped effects. It has a medium texture.

Main uses

The easy workability and the striped effect that can be achieved by radial surfaces causes this wood to be used to make fine joinery, furniture, indoor coverings and furnishings for luxury boats, doars and windows, sculptures, parts of musical Instruments, turnery and luxury boxes. It is often used to make high-quality looking frames.
